This Revised Roster, though not the first edition, is the more complete and considered the most authoritative of the published rosters. The first edition was hastily printed, received many complaints for its errors and incomplete listings, so the Vermont government allocated funds for this new "revised" edition, which was four years in its compilation. Skillful, professional restoration used original boards and leather corners, adding a modern calf spine and gilt labels. Binding is firm. Aged end pages. Final page of index is an added facsimile on aged paper. 863pp 4to.
