Paperback. If he were a Hollywood celebrity, $300,000 might seem like a drop in the bucket. But for Santa Fe homebuilder Wesley Bounder, that was the sum of everything he had. And now it's gone-stolen by the charismatic con artist Mel, who pulled a disappearing act with the hard-earned money as soon as the market went south. And after this latest botched investment deal, Wesley is feeling down to say the least, trapped in a hellish and problematic world of his own making. Desperate to find some way to fix his troubles, Wes does the only logical thing: he embarks on a journey of revenge, determined to catch up with Mel and get his cash back. Through endless dangers, disasters, and encounters with a whole host of unexpected characters, he'll travel to the edges of the western United States in an adventurous attempt to outrun his problems-and keep Mel's pickup truck within his line of sight.
