The highly successful Retronaut blog looks at the past as it has never been looked at before. Here, in the second of a new series of Retronaut books, the site's founder, Wolfgang Wild, brings you a thought-provoking collection of photographs from our hidden history. Often witty and entertaining, but also thought-provoking and at times puzzling, the images are chosen to shift our perceptions, making us think-and look again. Discover what our ancestors considered to be good parenting in the days before the 'care' was put into childcare, from dangerous sports to the best brand of cigarette for your baby. A perfectly reassuring gift for today's new parent, this book will also appeal to anyone who likes pictures of babies in sunglasses.
About the Author: Wolfgang Wild is the creator of Retronaut, a brand that shows "the past like you wouldn't believe". In 2014, Wild licensed Retronaut's digital curation to Mashable where it became an immediate smash hit. His first book, published by National Geographic, was described by the Daily Mail as "A magical tour of the past". Number 20 on the Times of London's list of the "50 people you should follow on Twitter", Wild worked across the museum and archive world for the better part of a decade. He is guest curator for a range of digital and physical museums, and lives near Oxford, England, with his wife, Annie, and two children.

Seller: artbook-service, Berlin, Germany
gebunden. Condition: Neu. (Text engl.) 128 pp. Englisch. Seller Inventory # 1007629
