There are many definitions of truth in our world today. From “alternate facts” to “fake news,” it’s easy to get confused, wondering where to turn for real truth, the truth that will ultimately set us free. The answer is found in John 8:32 where Jesus Christ tells His followers that “If you abide in My word, you are truly My disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Freedom from what, you ask? Freedom from the bondage of sin that would lead to eternal destruction. Christ came as God’s very own Son to be born both God and man, to live the life of perfection we could not, and to take the weight of punishment for our sins to death on the cross. The very resurrection that brought forth Jesus from death to life now gives all believers in Him the freedom to live as redeemed children of God. The impact of Resurrection Freedom on life is what you will find throughout these chapters, all of which are excerpts from The Lutheran Hour®, prepared and delivered by the Rev. Dr. Gregory Seltz, Speaker of The Lutheran Hour. Taken from real life, these messages relay how brand-new life in Christ is an invitation to a brand-new start. Whether you are broken or whole, a lifelong Christian or one newly seeking the truth, this book is for you!
