DOUG ERLANDSON, Top 50 Amazon Reviewer“BAR OF EXCELLENCE RAISED TO NEW HEIGHTS!”L.R. Burkard is back with the next tale in her dystopian series, and the bar of excellence is raised to new heights with this top quality literary offering!
DEENA PETERSON, Blogger, Book Reviewer“OH, MY GOODNESS!” Resilience was another page turner! I was up all night finishing it. I can't wait for the conclusion!J.REAVIS, ReviewerIn this action-packed sequel to PULSE, L.R. Burkard takes readers into a spine-tingling landscape where teens shoulder rifles instead of school books and where survival might mean becoming your own worst enemy.Description: Now that an EMP plunged the U.S. into a Dark Age, only the resilient can survive against the ever-increasing threats. The Martin farmstead, now a compound for a brave band of survivors, is where Andrea and Lexie long to put away their rifles and focus on the men they love. But safety comes first, and the girls must be warriors to help defend their homes. Sarah and Richard hope to forge a new life in Indiana on their aunt's homestead, but fierce foreign soldiers and desperate citizens make traveling treacherous. The appearance of refugee camps could be reassuring—but is the military forcing people into them? These, and mysterious raging fires plaguing the land, make a peaceful future seem hopeless.
With evils threatening on every side, can America recover before dreams—and life itself—are lost forever? MORE REVIEWS:FAVORITE AUTHORL.R. Burkard is quickly becoming my favorite author. I know I can always trust her books to be free of unnecessary foul language and a narrative that is in poor taste. But now she has proven herself also to be an extraordinary storyteller. In fact, every book she has written has been a page turner. This is a true gift!
