Rerum Aethiopicarum Scriptores Occidentales Inediti a Saeculo XVI Ad XIX, Volume 4, offers a collection of previously unpublished Western writings on Ethiopian affairs from the 16th to the 19th centuries. Compiled and edited by Camillo Beccari, with contributions from Manoel Barradas, this volume provides invaluable primary source material for historians and scholars of Ethiopian history and the history of Christian missions in Africa.

Written in Latin, the texts shed light on the interactions between European missionaries, particularly Jesuits, and the Ethiopian people and their rulers. The volume explores religious, political, and cultural exchanges during a pivotal period, offering insights into the complexities of intercultural relations and the spread of Christianity in Ethiopia. This collection is essential for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of Ethiopia's rich history and its connections with the wider world.
