About the Author: Alan G. Gross is a professor of rhetoric at the University of Minnesota. He is the coeditor of Rereading Aristotle's Rhetoric, published by Southern Illinois University Press, the author of The Rhetoric of Science, and coauthor of Communicating Science: From the 17th Century to the Present and Chaim Perelman.
