Patient-Doctor-Nurse-Family-Friends Approved. What more do you need?
FACTS:
- Fear is often calmed by accurate information
- Human connection and understanding are crucial for surviving most struggles
- Knowing behind-the-scenes secrets benefits most situations
- Laughter is often the shortest distance between a cancer patient and anyone
Good News! This book embraces these facts and offers solutions through the power of storytelling. It was written for patients, family members and friends, and is especially helpful to doctors, nurses, counselors and medical assistants who want to improve their patient relationship skills.
What’s unique about this book?
- Relatable. It fosters a connection with cancer patients on a level that helps them not feel alone.
- Divulges cancer secrets. You get insider information from a Truth Teller who made it through the cancer journey. She uses her story to prevent you from exclaiming in frustration, “Why didn’t anyone tell me that?”
- Heals with humor. It approaches a difficult subject with just the right amount of humor to help patients and others gain perspective. Cancer is certainly not funny, but the absurdities along the way certainly are. Humor was deliberately infused to change the emotion of something negative into something manageable.
- Usable 24/7. It can be read prior to, during or after the journey is complete. You decide when you want the information, whether that means in small doses or binged from cover to cover. It will be there when you’re ready.
- Practical. An indespensable questionnaire is included to help patients and loved ones make a plan to manage personal preferences – great for squelching misunderstandings and potential break-ups.
IF YOU’VE BEEN DIAGNOSED AND ARE ASKING…
“What do I do? Where can I get some answers? How will I get through this?”
Required Reading for The Whole Cancer Thing: An Insider’s Tale plus 101 "Must-Have" Survival Tips, offers a trusted GPS through cancer diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, follow-ups, recovery and rejuvenation.
Well-received, this book proudly sits on the book shelf of cancer center libraries, on nurse’s desks and in training sessions, in doctor’s waiting rooms, on patient's night stands, and in the loving hands of those providing support.
Special Additions:
- Caregivers are the angels among us and deserved their own chapter for their profound impact.
- Nausea, for its profound impact occupies its own chapter as well.
- In addition to traditional approaches, the book explores holistic, science-based, alternative medicine including chelation, and counseling modalities like EMDR that offer additional methods for recovery and rejuvenation. Rest assured, healing from the trauma thrown at you during the journey can be healed.
FACT: All of us will cross paths with cancer in some way during our lives. Why not be as informed as possible, and find the wisdom and humor in the struggle?
From the author,
“I wrote the book I needed when I was diagnosed because it didn’t exist. Medical providers are limited in what they can share, BUT NOT ME. My goal is to educate and help others know that someone understands their journey, AND their need for lifesaving laughter along the way. Please buy this book today. It’s just what my doctor ordered. Seriously, he did. He read it and loved it. Thank you!
To Our Health,
Anne Kruse
