Comprises Table of Contents, Introduction, Description of the Ship, Account of the Ship s Journey across the Atlantic, the Messages she received and the Disaster, Description of the Damage to the Ship and of its Gradual and Final Effect, with Observations thereon, Account of the Saving and Rescue of those who Survived, The Circumstances in connection with the S.S. "Californian", The Board of Trade s Administration, Finding of the Court, and Recommendations. Folio. Bound in stout tan buckram boards together with 23 other folio maritime inquiries, reports, etc., all 1912-13. Small nick to top of Titanic report title page and small tear to foot of pp. 3, 4, otherwise all in very nice condition. Two of the other items in the volume are directly associated with the "Titanic" disaster. They are (i) Safety of Life at Sea. Draft Life-Saving Appliances Rules, with Memorandum on Safety of Life at Sea, by the President of the Board of Trade, command number Cd. 6402, 16 pp., 1912, and (ii) Life Saving Appliances. Rules Made by the Board of Trade under Section 427 of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1894, sessional number 442, 18 pp. 1913. The remaining 21 items include the following: (i) Correspondence respecting the Destruction of the British Steamship "Oldhamia" by Ensign Tregouboo of the Russian Cruiser "Oleg" in May 1905, 1912, 35 pp., and (ii) Shipping Casualties (Insurance). Return containing the Reports of Official Inquiries held in the United Kingdom of the loss of the "Carnedd Llewlyn", "Oxus", "Cadoxton", "Idlewild", "Kingswell", "Gunford", "George", "Ouse", "Selworthy", "Cardiff Hall", "Hasland", "Everest", "British Standard", and "Dunsley", 1912, 97 pp. [On 15 April 1912, while on the her maiden voyage, the pride of British shipping, the unsinkable s.s. Titanic, belonging to White Star Line, sank in the North Atlantic after hitting an iceberg. She carried insufficient lifeboats to accommodate everyone on board and 1,498 passengers and crew were drowned. On 30 April the Board of Trade requested that a Formal Investigation of the circumstances attending the loss of the ship should be held. The Court sat from 2 May until 30 July, during which time there were 37 public sittings and 97 witnesses were examined.

You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us, Oast Park Books, 26 Avenue Road, Westcliff -on- Sea, SS0 7PW, Essex, United Kingdom, +44 (0)1702 340537, of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). You may use the attached model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory. You can also electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel with contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us or Oast Park Books, 26 Avenue Road, Westcliff -on- Sea, SS0 7PW, Essex, United Kingdom, +44 (0)1702 340537, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
