About the Author
Henri Zerner, originally from France, is an internationally renowned scholar whose work on Renaissance art history is widely read and has been translated into several languages. His works published in English include, Italian Art 1500-1600: Sources and Documents (Northwestern University Press) and The School of Fontainbleau (Thames & Hudson). He is a professor of History of Art at Harvard University and former curator of the Fogg Art Museum in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
