Print on Demand. This book examines the monarchy in France, arguing that a perfect king should embody all the qualities of a divine ruler. The author maintains that his contemporary king, Henry IV, exhibits these qualities. The author notes the difficulty of his task, given the turmoil and strife in France during the late 16th century and the recent assassination of Henry's predecessor, but he is optimistic that Henry will be a force for positive change. He praises Henry's piety and his commitment to religious tolerance, which the author sees as essential qualities for a good king. The author also discusses Henry's military prowess and his ability to inspire loyalty in his followers. This book is a fascinating glimpse into the political and religious climate of France during the late 16th century and provides a valuable perspective on the role of the monarchy in that era. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
