Print on Demand. This book immerses readers in the realm of religious sentiments, exploring how they arise, fluctuate, and influence our perspective on the world and our place within it. The author posits that our minds naturally posit a supernatural realm beyond the limits of our understanding, from which our religious beliefs and feelings originate. Through meticulous analysis of human consciousness and experience, the book illuminates the interconnectedness of the mind's intellectual, emotional, and volitional aspects in shaping our religious sentiments. The author examines the historical and sociological contexts of religious phenomena, tracing their impact on the development of social institutions and ethical frameworks. Ultimately, this book provides a comprehensive and thought-provoking examination of the nature and significance of religion in human existence, offering profound insights into the ways in which our minds grapple with the limitations of knowledge and the allure of the unknown. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

When, for instance, we speak Of the christian religion we have in mind a social organisation, comprising a community of organised bodies united by certain enunciated principles and by certain declared aims. But this society is not the christian religion, but rather a development of it. The religion makes the society. If there were no religion there would be no church. Hence we cannot say that the christian church is the christian religion.
