Print on Demand. This book considers the relative ease with which various faces of printing types can be read and investigates the relationship between certain modifications of face and legibility. The author presents the results of a series of experiments that determined the relative legibility of different fonts when presented in isolation and in groups, examining factors such as size, form, and thickness of lines. This book offers valuable information for anyone interested in typography, printing, or the science of reading. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. …
