Paperback. Iam Meleke. That is what the ancient carvers called me when their bronze chisels bit into my chest. The masons of Jerusalem quarried this stone for four hundred years, then found a seismic fault running through its heart and abandoned it - a jagged white knob outside the northwest gate, good for nothing but thistles, kites, and Roman executions. Rome noticed the road ran right past it.The Rejected Stone is the story of Calvary told by the rock itself: the empty Holy of Holies that disappointed Pompey, the crossbeams and the square nails, the Man who prayed for His executioners while they were still swinging, the darkness that pagan historians could not explain away, and the word a merchant wrote across a settled account - paid in full. Then eighteen centuries of burial, excavation, marble, crusade, and quarrel, and the plain gospel carried out to the ends of the earth by people who never saw Jerusalem at all. This revised and expanded second edition adds a chapter on the modern missionary movement and an afterword that tells the reader plainly what is attested, what is tradition, what is disputed, and what the author has simply imagined out loud.Short enough to finish in an evening. Long enough to sit with. SECOND EDITION This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…
