This is volume 1 of the Deswbury registers which were first published in the Dewsbury Parish Magazine. Deals with births, marriages and deaths from 1538 to 1653. The binding shows signs of wear (see image) but is sound and tight. The vellum is rather darkened and there is a new title label on the spine and on the front cover.
