Paperback. In the shadow of revolution emerges an unexpected force-restraint. This book reveals George Washington's extraordinary rise from Virginia planter to revolutionary icon through a lens rarely applied to great leaders: self-mastery as the foundation of true power. As Washington evolves from surveyor to general to president, his story challenges modern assumptions about leadership and success. Rather than seizing more control when victory granted him unprecedented authority, Washington repeatedly chose limitation, establishing the radical principle that genuine leadership serves liberty through power willingly surrendered. For today's leaders seeking sustainable impact, Washington's journey provides a compelling alternative to both rigid ideological purity and unprincipled pragmatism. His legacy suggests that our greatest influence comes not from power accumulated or authority expanded, but from strengthening the systems that outlast us. This item is printed on demand.
