Fifteen-year-old Nadia Calder has always felt like she doesn't quite belong-until the day her bedroom mirror reveals itself as a portal to a magical realm. Suddenly thrust into Mirrathia, a world where shadows have substance and light can be woven like thread, Nadia discovers powers she never knew she possessed and a destiny she never asked for.
In a land where mirrors serve as doorways between worlds, Nadia's ordinary life transforms into an extraordinary adventure.
As Nadia navigates this enchanting yet dangerous new world, she forms unexpected alliances with the brave Dawnguards, rebels fighting to reclaim their homeland from the tyrannical Queen Bellinor. The queen's shadow magic has plunged Mirrathia into darkness, and only those with the gift of lightweaving stand a chance against her reign.
But light and shadow are two sides of the same coin-and some secrets are better left in darkness.
With her best friend Jenny struggling to keep her disappearances secret back home and new friendships blossoming in Mirrathia, Nadia must balance two lives while mastering her emerging powers. As Nadia uncovers the truth about her connection to this mirror realm, she faces a choice that could save Mirrathia-or destroy everything she loves in both worlds.
