First published, in 1700, as Some reflections upon marriage occasioned by the Duke and Dutchess of Mazarines case. Full leather binding with marks/scuffs as shown. Lacking original endpapers and ffep. Later paper laid down to both boards inside. Title page with ink name and date to top margin. First 10 leaves with small losses to bottom outer corners as shown. Pages: [22], 80pp, 83-93pp, [1]. According to ESTC record: T150007 there should be [28] unnumbered pages at the front. The preface is not complete and is lacking A2, A3 and A4. Another leaf is lacking from the prelims, possibly a half title. Loss to corners of initial leaves, not affecting text as you can see. Pencil name to rear free endpaper. Age toning and some marks/spots here and there, otherwise pages are generally clean as shown. Seller Inventory # 000572
