Most items will be dispatched the same or the next working day. A readable copy. All pages and the cover are intact (dust cover may be missing). Pages can include considerable notes--in pen or highlighter--but notes cannot obscure the text. An acceptable condition book bound in dark full leather. Both volumes are bound together into one book. The leather covers are notably scuffed all over and very chipped at their edges. The spine shows heavy creasing and cracking. There is a crack to the hinge beside the front board but generally both boards are still firmly attached. The frontispiece of volume one is loose and tidemarked with one dog-eared edge. The frontispiece and title page of volume two is nearly loose and in similar shape. The rest of the pages are fairly well bound. The internal contents show a typical amount of tanning and age for a book over 2 centuries old, with deeply toned page edges that also waving. The contents show some marks and tanning but are also pleasantly uniform, with good unfaded print all throughout. Fine for use as a reading and reference copy and as expected for an early 1800s book.…
