Written by Brian Jacques and published in 1986, Redwall was the first in a series of 22 young adult novels that took place in a vibrant world inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. The forces of good (mice, rabbits, badgers, etc.) battled those of evil (rats, snakes, foxes, etc.) in an Iron-Age setting centered on the Abbey of Redwall. The landmark can be seen in the center of this illustrated reference map, drawn by Chris Baker and published by Philomel Books in 1997. Numerous other locations of interest are also drawn and labeled, with the hero, Matthias, visible in the upper right corner. The Redwall Riddler, a trivia booklet, is affixed to the front cover.
