A dark reimagining of Little Red Riding Hood, where a fallen princess and the wolf hunting her are divided by vengeance—and drawn together by desire.
A PRINCESS WHO LOST EVERYTHING
When the Black Wolf lays siege to Winslowe Castle, Princess Blanchette escapes into the night beneath her red cloak. Her family is dead, her home has fallen, and only one thing keeps her alive: the vow she made to her grandmother to avenge them.
A WARRIOR DRIVEN BY VENGEANCE
Once a loyal knight, Sir Rowan Dietrich has spent years plotting the downfall of the tyrant king. Now hailed as the people’s champion, Rowan liberates the capital with an army at his back and his wolf, Smoke, at his side. But the king’s surviving daughter has vanished into the woods, and the Black Wolf intends to find her.
A DANGEROUS ALLIANCE
When Rowan captures Blanchette and brings her back to the castle she once called home, each sees the other as an enemy. But forced proximity exposes secrets neither is prepared to face. As hatred gives way to understanding and desire threatens their resolve, Blanchette must choose between her vow to avenge her family and the man she swore to despise.
Can Norland’s princess tame the fabled Black Wolf—or will their hunger for vengeance destroy them both?
Inspired by Little Red Riding Hood, Red Kingdom is a slow-burn medieval historical romance about a captive princess and a vengeful knight—both wounded by loss and forced into an uneasy alliance as a war-torn kingdom struggles for peace.
Red Kingdom is a standalone installment in the Fairy Tale Retellings series, where there’s no magic or fantasy—just a dark, realistic twist on classic fairy tales.
Content Note: This is a historical romance with graphic subject matter and mature themes that may be difficult for some readers, including grief, trauma, strong violence, off-page SA, and human and animal death. Please read with care.
