1813 American frontier. Muscogee warriors. A captive woman. A warrior sworn to protect his people.
Adela McGirth has always known the land her father claimed was never truly theirs. So when Muscogee warriors rise to reclaim it, their attack—swift and merciless—feels more like justice than surprise.
Captured and carried into unfamiliar territory, Adela clings to two things: her faith and her determination to return home before her ailing mother slips beyond saving.
But nothing prepares her for him.
Totka Hadjo is a warrior with something to prove—to his leaders, his people, and himself. Yet the captive woman entrusted to his watch awakens questions he never expected to face.
As war spreads across the frontier and soldiers close in, both must choose where their loyalties truly lie.
And the cost may be everything they hold dear.
Bound by war. Divided by faith.
A sweeping Christian historical novel filled with frontier danger, cross-cultural conflict, redemptive faith, and a love story forged in impossible circumstances.
Perfect for readers who enjoy:
- Captive/captor tension
