"The Record American Institute of Actuaries" (Volume 14) serves as a vital archival collection of the proceedings, papers, and formal discussions central to the actuarial profession during the early 20th century. This volume provides a comprehensive look into the mathematical and statistical methodologies that shaped the insurance and financial sectors of the 1920s.

The work features scholarly contributions on a wide array of technical topics, including life insurance valuation, the development of mortality tables, disability benefits, and the evolving principles of risk assessment. By capturing the intellectual exchanges of leading experts such as Percy Evans and his contemporaries, the text offers a detailed perspective on the technical challenges and professional standards of the era. This volume is an essential resource for historians of finance, actuarial students, and professionals seeking to understand the historical foundations of modern risk management and the quantitative rigor that defines the industry.

Through its formal papers and transcriptions of informal discussions, "The Record American Institute of Actuaries" illustrates the development of actuarial science as both a rigorous mathematical discipline and a cornerstone of economic stability during a period of significant growth in the American insurance market.
