Neuware - 'Recollections of Thomas R. Marshall, Vice-President and Hoosier Philosopher; A Hoosier Salad' offers a charming and insightful look into the life and mind of one of America's most distinctive political figures. Thomas R. Marshall, who served as Vice President under Woodrow Wilson, presents a collection of anecdotes and reflections that blend political history with his signature Hoosier wit. The work provides a firsthand account of the early 20th-century American political landscape, covering his time as Governor of Indiana and his two terms in Washington, D.C.Marshall's narrative is celebrated for its humor and humility, famously capturing the essence of a man who approached the high office with both wisdom and a self-deprecating sense of irony. From stories of his small-town law practice to his experiences in the halls of power during the First World War, this memoir serves as both a vital historical document and an engaging literary journey. It explores themes of leadership, civic duty, and the cultural identity of the American Midwest. Readers will find a unique perspective on the Wilson administration and the shifting social dynamics of the early 20th century, all delivered through the eyes of a seasoned public servant and philosopher. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
