Hardcover. Condition: Very Good Plus. First Edition Thus. 113 pages. Limited edition, 1/750. Map tipped in at rear. Gold cloth and 1/4 leather covers with scuffing at spine bottom edge. Reprinted from the Stockton edition of 1852. Carson was a miner who first arrived in California in 1848. He died in 1853. His account was not only the first account by a miner published in Stockton but, with the exception of the Wierzbicki Guide, the first published in California. Seller Inventory # 009504
