Do you like laser beams, aliens and a romance that will make you want to chug a bottle of red wine while shoveling chocolate into your mouth? Well hopefully I pulled you in at the third point, because the first two have nothing to do with this book. Blake Little recently graduated from a small college in Columbus, Ohio. She’s moving back in with her older sister, Belle, who lives in the close-knit community of Hogan, Arizona. Blake’s passion is photography, but she harbors a fear of criticism over her work. You’ll follow Blake as she deals with the challenges of her new job, as she forms a chemistry with Same Fischer the quiet man with a tragic past, and as she gains friends and even enemies. Not hooked yet? Well you’ll also get to know her blind dog, John Krasinski! There’s passion, blackmail, and the famous cactus shots! I know you’re intrigued now. So, pause your Netflix show that you’ve seen on repeat, grab some cookies, and give this book a chance! I know I did.
