I've Done So Much
When you know, you have done so
much.
Or taken advantage of, and such.
Is there anyone, to hold my hand?
Who will tell me, they really understand.
My love runs deep, for everyone I
allow in this place.
Is there someone who will make me
feel pretty, when I'm wearing my ruffles and my lace.
Family, friends, lovers too, are continually
pulling for more.
I've done so much it's hard for me, to
even keep score.
To give from your heart, will pull you
in every direction.
It's difficult to please them, while their
forever needing, so much correction.
I am misunderstood, because of my
protective nature.
That's because I want to correct, and
lovingly nurture.
Why do I have to struggle, to win
their love and affection.
I hope that one day I will be shown,
a little respect and appreciation.

Emotions Lost
Lost in the evolution of time.
sweet tender emotions, that will never
be mine.
Love, is an emotion that you feel.
Without loves emotion, love with affection
simply, can never be real.
Without loves emotion, there is no way
to measure loves loss or its cost.
no way to know the yard stick, rule, or
gauge to see whether you've won or lost.
Cold and empty, deprived of love, with
feelings of emotions tossed.
We wait for a way, a place, a time.

So cleverely wrapped, with a bow it's tied.
You can't help wanting, to look inside.
Pleasing to the eye, oh so pleasant to see.

Gertrude
Moving back and forth, moving side to side.
Ooops! Did someone say, Gertrude just lied?
She's singing loud and hearty, she's singing
Soft and sweet.
Always looking for something, that's good enough
to eat.
Her sense of taste is sharp, she's quick
As lightening too.
Gertrude will say, it's an art.
I'll say, that it's true.
You will find, Gertrude's performance does
much to sensitive.
And even much more, to tantalize.

Than I watch her, when she begins to quiver.

Derick, My Sweet Prince
Fun and games, was his agenda every day.
Happiness and jokes, was just Derick's way.
No one knew, how much he hurt inside.
By being a clown, his hurt could be denied.
The mask of funny, made Derick's life seem sunny.
There were always, shadows, clouds, and
lack of money.
Happy go Derick, is what you would see.
Putting a front on, for you and me.
Trusting everyone, and always taken advantage of.
Derick displayed, genuine kindness and love from above.
His sweet face of smiles.
His beautiful hazel eyes.
My poor Derick, was a victim of to many games
And so many lies.
His last breath drawn, his eyes still open.
My heart feels empty and oh, so, broken.

Momma Helen
Eyes that were quick
No one could play her slick.
Momma Helen, only finished grade school.
But anyone can tell you, she was nobody's fool.
Hip swaying, belt laying, when correcting her
Children, Momma Helen wasn't playing.
Momma Helen was always cooking, washing,
Clothing and feeding.
When mental and emotional stimulation, her
Children were truly, needing.
Talking with wisdom, she was as wise, as an owl.
Speaking with a country drawl,
Sometimes on her face,
She wore a mean scowl.
Momma Helen, was married twice.
She birth twelve children.
It seems, she thought a dozen, would be nice.
She loved her children, as much as she knew how.
From what she was taught, that's all her heart
Would allow.
Momma Helen, was full of life, having fun
And taking spins on the dance floor.
She played dominos, checkers, cards and keno.
Playing for money, most times winning as she
Kept, score.
Momma Helen, climbing up and down the banks
Of Sacramento, fishing.
Spending that time, thinking and wishing.
She held a great respect, for money.
Hiding and saving it, like it was serious and
not funny.
And now the light is gone from Momma Helens eyes.
In a convelesant center, in a fetal position our
Momma lies.
Hoping for recovery, her children watch and cry.
No matter what momma, we'll be standing-by.

Insignificant, is what he thinks of her.
