“This is the book I’ve been looking for all my life it contains the secret to having a good ear!” Ed Balls, economist and pianist
“Help is finally here for today’s music students! This course brilliantly develops the essential ability to hear and transcribe music.” Darius Brubeck, jazz pianist and composer
“Roland’s excellent training method has taken the mystery out of how I can develop my ear in my musical career. His detailed, easy to understand and thoughtful approach is a must for those wanting to progress away from pure theory and guesswork and into making better choices real world situations.” Andrew Richardson, music student
"As a teacher myself, I could really see the methodology behind Real Ear Training. It's logically organised in that you progress from stage to stage, and Roland provides you with a mental toolbox to help find pitches, identify chord qualities and recognize rhythms. One of the best things about this method is that it's engaging and fun. An absolute must-have.” Sahil Batra, musician
“I used to work around ear training based on my intuition. Since I wasn’t used to reading, I struggled specially to write rhythms. Roland's Real Ear Training helped fill in the gaps of what I already knew in a very methodical way and also made me be able to notate so much better.” Ola Mekelburg, music student
”I found Roland’s Real Ear Training to be well-organised and designed for the student to work at their own pace. He provides effective tools, thorough information that is presented in a way that is very clear and understandable. I learnt a great amount within a relatively short time and improved my “natural” abilities. I would definitely recommend Real Ear Training for anyone who wants to develop their musical skills and learn to play more creatively.” Miss Tanisha Anderson, music student
“Roland's method of teaching is unique and inspiring, it was helpful to me beyond words as someone who knew next to nothing theoretically at the time and I believe it really shaped my ability to consume knowledge in this field in a way that has not been matched since. Truly worth a read for any aspiring musician.” Simone Miller, music student
