The Whole Booke of Psalmes, Collected into English Meeter, by Thomas Sternehold, Iohn Hopkins, and others. 171 (34) p. Embroidered red velvet binding covered with silver wire, 24°. Rare and early miniature binding, H. 8 x W. 5.5 x D. 2.5 cm. / 3.15 x 2 x 1 inch. Bound with silver fine wire and with brass sequins. Gold edges. The covers are surrounded by a two-part multi-coloured border, partly interwoven with silver wire, in the corners stylised branches of golden wire and sequins, in the centre a two-coloured embroidered bouquet with flowers of silver wire and coloured metal foils. Back with a double curved two-tone border, partly covered with gold wire. Edges scuffed, binding restored. The last two pages of the Table are damaged.

Antiquariaat De Roo, based in Zwijndrecht (The Netherlands), was found in 2004 by Bart de Roo as Boekhandel en Antiquariaat De Roo. Within this situation, new, second-hand, and old and rare books were sold. In July 2020, the departments with the new and second-hand books are sold. The company was continued as Antiquariaat De Roo with a focus on selling old and rare books and globes. We are dealing in all kinds of old and rare books and have a general stock, but our specialization is fine bindings, hand-coloured works, religion, history, travel and exploration, and globes. Quality and completeness are valued high. You can find our stock on our website. Every month, we send a newsletter with new acquisitions. You can subscribe for this newsletter via our website. In addition, you are welcome in our store. The store is open by appointment. You can make an appointment in the ways like they are described on our contact page. Terms of Sale 1. All books are complete and in a good condition, unless otherwise stated. 2. Prices are in euros, excluding shipping costs, unless otherwise stated. 3. For the European union, the VAT laws are applicable. All prices are including 6% VAT. If you have a VAT number, please led us know when you send your order. Shipping, bank and cheque costs will be billed at costprice. After ordering a book, you will receive the total price by email. 4. Books must be paid in advance. Institutions, libraries, and known customers can pay by invoice. 5. Payments can be made by bank transfer, Credit card, or by Paypal. 6. The ownwer of the delivered books is the seller, until the books are fully paid.
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.
Information regarding the right of withdrawal
Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Antiquariaat de Roo, Zwijndrecht, Netherlands, +31 0852100833, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
- The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
Shipping terms
- The risk of shipping of the ordered books is for the seller. The seller has the privilege to assurance the shipped books. This costs will be accounted to the buyer. 8. Each purchase can be returned within 7 days after reception, without proper stated reason. The seller highly appriciates an acknowlegdement of this before by email. The price of the books (without the shipping and insurance corsts) will be paid back in 30 days. 9. If the return is a cause of an incomplete description, all the shipping and insurance costs will be paid back. The returned books must receive the seller in the same condition as they are send. The risk of the return shipments are for the sender.
