This VG quality and likely first edition book was published in 1931 by the Saalfield Publishing Company and is 7-5/8" tall with 212 numbered pages of text. This book--one-piece dark green binding with black lettering--has a very slight lean, is reasonably clean, free of corner bumps with an edge dings on the bottom edge of the rear board; the head and heel of the spine are very lightly bumped, with no damage; the bottom edges have a very slight amount of wear. The bottom 1/4 to 1/2 inch of both front and rear boards have a very slight discoloration, as from minor water damage--however, there is no evidence of any water damage to any tex pages or to the end pages. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. Though both hinges are strong, 2 inches of the paper covering the rear hinge has torn off. The text paper is at least moderately toned but still flexible and not brittle. The only illustration in this book is the frontis. The only list in the book, on the title page, lists the second title in this series, also published in 1931. The book has no remainder mark and is not a former library book. It also has no FFEP, which was ripped out. The VG- quality jacket is moderately soiled, with small chips at both top corners with a larger chip at the head of the spine, but no lettering is lost; the spine is moderately faded.
