Original cloth folder with two pages advertising slip inside front cover. Original full color by county. Extensive crude tape repairs to verso, but only minor evidence of these repairs on the recto at vertical folds near the top and bottom edges. Copyright date of 1863. This is a very scarce Reconstruction-era map of the South. Maps such as this were not uncommon during the Civil War when people in the North wanted to follow the battles and locations of the armies, but almost disappeared in the years immediately after the war when there was little interest in the South among the people of the North.
