Neuware - Ragnar - The Fractured LineBook 2 of the Ragnar seriesThe fight that broke this city open is over. What it cost is still coming due.Ragnar's got a wife who terrifies him in all the right ways, a valley of survivors who somehow decided he's in charge, and about four hours of sleep a night rebuilding something worth living in out of the wreckage - trolls, pixies, ember boar smoke, and whatever else made it through the Shift. Compared to what this city used to be, that's basically winning. It isn't holding.Something is watching the valley, and it isn't in a hurry. It doesn't send an army - it sends patience, probing for the cracks before it bothers to hit. One of his crew is paying for the last war with a wound that won't heal right. Another carries scars that were never supposed to be hers. And when a face out of Ragnar's past walks into his home like it's always belonged there, he learns the hardest math he's ever done isn't the size of what's coming for him. It's the cost everyone he loves is already paying just to stand beside him - and whether the line holding his family together can survive what's next, or was fractured long before anyone thought to check. He's still got the axe. He's about to find out if that's enough.…

Ragnar - The Fractured Line
Book 2 of the Ragnar series
The fight that broke this city open is over. What it cost is still coming due.
Ragnar's got a wife who terrifies him in all the right ways, a valley of survivors who somehow decided he's in charge, and about four hours of sleep a night rebuilding something worth living in out of the wreckage - trolls, pixies, ember boar smoke, and whatever else made it through the Shift. Compared to what this city used to be, that's basically winning.
It isn't holding.
Something is watching the valley, and it isn't in a hurry.
He's about to find out if that's enough.
