THE HUNTER AIMED FOR MY HEART... AND CAPTURED IT.
I was locked out of Neverra-a death sentence for faeries born on the isle. Unless I found a way back home, the fire in my veins would extinguish, and with it, my life.
That was how I ended up stuck on Earth, with for only companion, a grumpy hunter who hated me for what I was and what I'd done. If I'd known marking him would carry my voice into his mind, I would've kept my magic to myself.
No... that wasn't true. I would've marked him sooner. After all, I was mute, so no one had ever heard my voice, until him.
Unfortunately, it wasn't only my voice he could hear, but also my heart, and how wildly it beat for him.
