Item description from seller

Book #1 in the original Radio Boys series of 13 titles, another in the Stratemeyer Syndicate's series of children's books written under pseudonyms. Foreword by Jack Binns, frontispiece & DJ illustrations by Walter Rogers. The publisher promoted the books as "thrilling adventures.that all modern boys will peruse with delight," providing an education in the new technology of radio communications along the way! First published in 1922, this is a later printing of that FIRST EDITION, listing to book #5 in front matter & to #8 on back DJ flap. With light blue cloth-covered boards bearing the a circular symbol to front cover, yellow & black lettering to front cover & spine (respectively), this hardcover is in Good- condition: solidly bound, text block secure, but slightly cocked; hinges intact, but spine is cracked between 2nd free endpaper & frontispiece. Pages creamy white with mild tanning, commensurate with age, but completely unmarked. Exterior shows significant rubbing to extremities, heaviest along bottom edges, all corners, both ends of spine. The slightly clipped DJ is Good: cover image colorful, bright, & intact, with some larger chips at all corners & both ends of spine, modest rubbing to extremities; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover free for your collection! Our photos depict the exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same day shipping if ordered by 2 pm weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next day. …
