Building on groundbreaking titles like My Grandmother’s Hands, Complex PTSD, and The Body Keeps the Score, Sage Liskey reimagines how we think about life’s struggles, making healing easier and more accessible for marginalized and privileged communities alike.
Written through a social-justice lens, Radical Self-Care offers a compassionate, science-backed roadmap for healing. Actionable techniques to overcome big and small struggles are shared from over seventy books, hundreds of research articles, and the author’s personal experiences. Used by therapists and individuals, this guide shares easy to follow directions to:
- Navigate anxiety, grief, and heartbreak
- Recover from addiction
- Address family dysfunction
- Heal PTSD and complex PTSD
- Form new habits
- Prevent burnout
- Quiet the inner critic and build self-worth
- Calm anger
- Resolve conflicts and assert boundaries
- Build healthy relationships
- Create a more equitable society
You'll explore evidence-based practices drawn from modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, EMDR, narrative exposure therapy, psychedelic-assisted therapy, and inner child work.
While most healing books focus solely on individual change, Radical Self-Care bridges personal recovery with systemic change at the communal, cultural, environmental, and societal levels.
Let’s begin your journey to resilience and wholeness today.
