Brandon Campbell and Sam Gilmore are high school football teammates. After graduation, they remain friends but take very different paths in life. Sam progresses in a positive direction, while Brandon, after experiencing college football glory, encounters a crushing blow which sends him spiraling down a dark path. After gradually losing contact, they unexpectedly meet again years later in a hospital emergency department, where their friendship is renewed. Sam helps guide Brandon to experience God's grace, forgiveness and redemption.
The captivating journey of these two men, and those who love them, occurs in a broken world, but through faith they find healing. This compelling story illustrates that it is never too late, and we are never too far gone, for the light of truth to permeate and conquer the darkness. Running Back to Glory is a moving reminder of the love and goodness of God.
David T. Lee, M.D. grew up in Dayton, Ohio. He majored in chemical engineering at the University of Cincinnati, went to The Ohio State University School of Medicine, completed his residency at Indiana University School of Medicine and served as an internal medicine physician in a thriving practice in Indianapolis, Indiana. Later in his career, he became a healthcare executive. In retirement, he is joyfully pursuing his desire to glorify God through creative writing. He is happily married to his bride of thirty-two years, and is the proud father of two adult children and his constant writing companion, Daisy the Goldendoodle.
