It also contains an identification database and a guide to the best birding areas adapted from the bestselling Where to Watch Birds in Britain. The single CD-ROM is compatible with both your PC and PDA making data and bird lists transferable between the two. For PDA-only users, a pre-loaded SD-card is available with back-up PC software for down-loading lists to your PC. Technical specification: For PC version, Pentium 2-300 or better, 128MB RAM, 600 MB hard drive space. Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP For PDA version, Windows PDA unit with Windows Mobile Pocket PC Edition (2002 or later), and 128MB SD-card. Registration via internet required. Installation permitted to a single PC and one SD-card The RSPB Birds of Britain and Ireland software does work on Windows Vista/7. There is also free updates available for download from www.gibbonmm.com.
