Copenhagen, 1950. First of this edition. Heavy quarto with colored paper boards, ivory linen spine. See three additional volumes from this series. 386 pages with countless black and white Storm P. cartoons and illustrations; "Indeledning" af Dr. Brandt; "Serietegneren" af Jorgen Bast; "Fluefilosoffen" af Orla Lundobo. A deep well of work over half a century. Robert Storm Petersen (1882 ?1949) was a Danish cartoonist, writer, animator, illustrator, painter and humorist. Already during World War I he was a well-known artist, and from about 1920 onward he was almost a national "institution" as a humorist, partly because of his versatile interests. He is perhaps best known for his Storm P. machines, comic drawings of machines that perform very simple tasks through an unnecessarily complex and usually humorous series of actions.Due to size or weight, this item will require additional postage for international or priority shipping.
