Octavo, 8 in. x 5.5 in., pp. 253. Illustrated with in-text drawings. Tan cloth boards with red arrows and title to front and spine. Light rubbing at bottom spine end. Unmarked interior. "$2.50" to front dustjacket flap. Rubbing and light creasing to dustjacket edges, with small chips at spine ends and bottom corners. Faded stain and sunning to dustjacket spine. Protected in mylar. Robert Ruark (1915 - 1965 was an American author, syndicated columnist, and big game hunter. Ruark worked for the Scripps-Howard Newspaper Alliance. As his obituary in The New York Times states, Ruark was "sometimes glad, sometimes sad, and often mad - but almost always provocative." Some of his columns were eventually collected into two books, I Didn't Know It Was Loaded (1948) and One for the Road (1949).
