Incisione litografica a 2 colori, dim. del foglio L. 41 x H. 30,4 cm. - All'nterno dell'inciso in basso a dx. si legge la firma: Arm. Berton. pià sotto ancora il timbro a secco dell'Estampe Moderne - In ottime condizioni. ARMAND BERTON, pittore ed incisione francese, nacque a Parigi il 16 settembre 1917 ed ivi morà il 29 settembre 1927. Dopo aper studiato alla Scuola delle Arti Decorative con Laemlein, entrà nel 1875 nell'ateliers di Cabanel e d'Yon alla Scuola di Belle Arti. Colpito da sorditÃ, gli fu impossibile seguire i corsi nell'atelier. Si perfezionà quindi al Louvre studiando i Grandi Maestri. Tra il 1892 e il 1921 ricevette molti premi, diventando mel 1900 Cavaliere della Legion d'Onore - BIBLIOGR.: BENEZIT (Ediz. del 1976), I, 700 - GENEVIEVE MONNIER, Musà e du Louvre, Cabinet des Dessins.
