449pp, xiii Marbled endpapers. With frontispiece portrait of Anne Loughlin, Vice-Chairman of the TUC. Contains Report of the Private Session, unlike the standard edition. In this session Citrine gives a frank and fascinating account of negotiations with the Labour Party, Government and civil service unions, which included postal workers, over the TUC's demands for changes in the hated 1927 Trade Disputes and Trade Unions Act of 1927 which shows a principled side to him.
