Item description from seller

Issued as Carnegie Institution of Washington Publication No.206. 162 pp, 24 plates (variously maps, charts and photos, many unfolding), 5 text figs, orig. wrappers bound in at rear; ex-London University with their heraldic plate fr.pastedown w. 'withdrawn' stamp, only other internal markings are two sm.round stamps at bottom verso t.p. and end text, plus faint penciling top verso fr.free endpaper, loan sheet edge to rear endpaper, back of a card-board lib.ticket pocker bottom rear pastedown. Green cloth & marbled board covers clean, 2.5 cm/1 inch split bottom back joint, otherwise minimally worn, gilt-lettered red sp.label + sm.gilt date bottom sp. London University bindings of this period are actually of quite high quality and have preserved orig.wraps in clean unworn condition. Given that flaws are all to lib.binding, not to orig. text (bar the 2 sm.round stamps) this is an excellent copy.
