Earliest printing of the celebrated French march, Le Régiment de Sambre et Meuse, composed during the Franco-Prussian war, revived and widely reprinted during the belle époque. Enrico Caruso recorded the song in his sessions with the Victor Orchestra in August and September 1919, and it was subsequently and famously adopted as the Ohio State University march song. RARE: the only recorded institutional holding is in the Bibliothèque National.
