Paperback. "I wanted to create a follow up book for those that found the first in the series useful. For anyone interested in actually getting started quilting, I wanted to offer them ten easy patterns. Some can be completed in as little as a weekend." In this book you'll learn patterns such as: Checkers and Stripes Crazy Nine Bar The Real Log Cabin .and much more! What's different about this book? Quilting for Beginners: 10 Easy Quilting Patterns is another detailed how-to guide that breaks down some incredible cute quilting designs. The first set of patterns are relatively easy, taking little to no time to complete. Near the end of the book, the designs become a bit more technical, but still in easy/beginner classification. These patterns have been chosen out of THOUSANDS of free patterns you can find on the internet. Having once been a novice quilter herself, Ms. Benningfield understands how fragile the mind and ego is to someone interested in learning this skill and craft. Although there are tons of patterns and guides available, many of difficult to follow and speak in a language that a novice would struggle to understand. This book is unique in the sense that it breaks all that nonsense down. Ms. Benningfield even takes a moment to go into color schemes and how it can make or break a piece. She offers valuable insight into how choosing the colors for your next quilting adventure don't have to be so burdensome. In fact, with her tips and insight, choosing your next quilt pattern can end up really being a breeze! Not to mention the photos and detailed instructions! If you struggle with the idea of a good how-to book, and worry that quilting is too difficult to understand unless someone is right there to guide you, look no further! Ms. Benningfield has a way of breaking these concepts down in such a way, you'll feel as if she's right there in the room as your personal guide! The best part about this book is that the way these patterns are presented are done so in a way to help the novice quilter learn how to adapt a pattern to suit their needs. We've all come across that one pattern that just needed a little tweaking to be perfect for us-and if you haven't, you will soon! It can be so intimidating trying to adapt a quilt to the perfect size for your individual, specific needs! Well, with Ms. Benningfield's help, she'll teach you how to make these fantastic quilts, as well as give you insight on how you can adapt and make your own using the same techniques, or mix and match to suit your needs. You'll learn crazy techniques to creating wonky shapes and patterns that only "look" hard in appearance, but are so easy to make!
