Review: Jill Murphy's wonderful Large Family, first encountered in Five Minutes Peace return in another story which will strike a chord with busy parents everywhere. It's Mr Large's birthday and Mrs Large is planning a quiet night in without any children. Unfortunately, instead of getting the children to sleep early, the effects of a long day catch up on the parents and, as so often in the Large household, things don't quite go according to plan.
The Large family may be elephants but the situations in which they find themselves are all too human and all too familiar to families everywhere. (Ages 3 and over)
