From global phenomenon Callie Hart comes a highly addictive enemies-to-lovers Romantasy filled with sharp banter, thrilling action, and steamy romance! In a harsh desert land, twenty-four-year-old Saeris Fane excels at keeping secrets, including her strange powers and her history of stealing from the Undying Queen's reservoirs. However, secrets are like knots, destined to unravel. When Saeris encounters Death himself, she accidentally reopens a gateway between realms and finds herself in a land of ice and snow. The Fae, once thought to be mere myth, are real, and Saeris is caught in a centuries-old conflict that could cost her life. As the first of her kind to tread the frozen mountains of Yvelia in over a thousand years, she inadvertently binds herself to Kingfisher, a handsome Fae warrior with his own hidden agendas. He plans to use her Alchemist's magic to protect his people, regardless of the consequences for either of them. Death has a name: Kingfisher of the Ajun Gate. His murky past and foul attitude make him an unlikely ally, but he's Saeris's only chance of returning home. Beware the deals you make, dear child; the devil is in the details.…

Do not touch the sword. Do not turn the key. Do not open the gate.
Saeris Fane is good at keeping secrets. No one knows about the strange alchemical powers she possesses, or the fact that she has been stealing from the Undying Queen for most of her twenty-four years. But a secret is like a knot. Sooner or later, it’s bound to come undone.
When Saeris is caught stealing something she shouldn’t, she accidentally reopens a dormant gateway between realms and is whisked away to a land of ice and snow. There, she discovers that the Fae―creatures of legend and nightmare―are not only real, but they are caught up in a centuries-long conflict that might just get her killed.
After inadvertently binding herself to a secretive and incredibly powerful Fae warrior named Kingfisher, Saeris quickly learns that he will use her secret magic to protect his people, no matter what it costs him… or her.
Be careful of the deals you make, dear child. The devil is in the details...
