Is your child a walking encyclopedia of dog questions?
Why do dogs sniff everything? Do dogs dream? Can dogs really smell when someone is sick? If your dog-obsessed kid has ever fired off question after question you couldn't fully answer, this book was written for them.
Every Question Kids Ask About Dogs Covered For You In One Book collects 130 real questions dog-loving kids actually ask, organized into clear categories and answered in simple, fascinating, kid-friendly language that satisfies curiosity without ever feeling like a textbook.
Inside, your child will discover answers to questions like:
- Why do dogs have wet noses?
- Can dogs see in the dark?
- Why do dogs get the zoomies?
- Do dogs dream when they sleep?
- How do police dogs find drugs or bombs?
- Why can't dogs eat chocolate?
- Are dogs related to wolves?
- What is the biggest dog breed in the world?
Perfect for dog-loving kids ages 6-12, this fact-filled dog book covers everything from a dog's body and senses to behavior, emotions, puppies, breeds, history, incredible jobs and abilities, and health and safety. It's the same "100,000 whys" style kids love, made just for dog fans.
Explore all 8 categories of dog facts for kids:
- Body & Senses: Why do dogs have such long tongues? Do dogs have belly buttons?
- Behavior & Communication: Why do dogs turn in circles before lying down? Why do dogs sniff other dogs?
- Emotions & Mind: Do dogs get embarrassed? Can dogs tell if a person is good or bad?
- Puppies & Growing Up: How many puppies can a mother dog have at once? What are "dog years"?
- Breeds & Variety: Why do huskies have blue eyes? Why do some dogs have wrinkly skin, like bulldogs?
- History & Domestication: Did dogs used to be wolves? Why are dogs called "man's best friend"?
- Jobs, Skills & Amazing Abilities: Can dogs sense earthquakes before they happen? Has a dog ever been to outer space?
- Care, Health & Safety: Why do some dogs wear a cone around their neck? Why does a dog need its own bed?
From tiny Chihuahuas to giant Great Danes, kids will learn what makes Labradors, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Poodles, Bulldogs, Huskies, Corgis, Dalmatians, and Greyhounds so different, plus what every dog breed has in common.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
