Paperback. The outbreak isn't in your blood. It's in your world. Dr. Mara Voss has spent fourteen years answering three a.m. phone calls about outbreaks nobody else can contain. She has never once needed a phone call about an outbreak with no virus, no symptoms, and no cure. When an entire town wakes up doubled, its residents carrying two full sets of memories, two lives, two families, Mara is called in to find Patient Zero. What she finds instead is a seven year old girl standing in a parking lot, staring at her with an impossible question: Are you the one who stayed, or the one who left? The girl is her daughter. A daughter Mara has never met, in a town she has never lived in, in a life she has never had, until six hours ago. As the doubling spreads and the clock runs out, Mara uncovers the truth: this isn't a disease. It's a fracture between realities, and a secretive government agency has one brutal solution, collapse one version of the town, erase it completely, and let the survivors never know what they lost. Mara has less than forty eight hours to find another way, before a committee she'll never meet decides which version of her daughter's life is allowed to keep existing. Quarantine Zero is a breakneck thriller about the world coming apart at the seams, and the impossible choices left in the wreckage. How far would you go to keep both halves of everything you love?
