Written for students with a background in algebra, this text provides a complete and modern treatment of basic management science methodology. The book emphasizes modeling skills for students of varying mathematical backgrounds, explaining how to use Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to build practical skills through problem-solving exercises, often broken into several parts to simplify complex concepts. Its modular structure offers instructors maximum flexibility. A significant feature of this edition is the inclusion of a special student version of Palisade Corporation's DecisionTools Suite on CD-ROM, which contains @Risk, PrecisionTree, BestFit, TopRank, and RiskView. This software is provided expressly for student use and requires student authorization for a full one-year license. Professional customers may use the software for 30 days, after which they must contact Palisade Corporation for a professional version if they wish to continue use.…
