Vor allem werden die elektronischen Eigenschaften von Atomen und Molek�len sowie die Grundlagen der chemischen Bindungen behandelt. Letztendlich werden auch die Grundlagen der verschiedenen, sehr h�ufig eingesetzten Methoden der Computerrechnungen behandelt, womit Eigenschaften von Atomen, Molek�len und Kristallen berechnet werden k�nnen. Solche Rechnungen sind heutzutage Standard der chemischen Forschung.
